New Guestdesigner.

A warm welkom to Shirley Field, our Guest-designer for this
beautiful month of May. On the four Tuesdays of this month
she will be posting her projects made with Crealies-products
and because it is Tuesday today, you'll see here her first blogpost.

Een warm welkom aan Shirley Field onze gast-designer voor deze
mooie meimaand. Shirley zal op de vier dinsdagen enkele creaties
laten zien gemaakt met Crealiesproducten en omdat het vandaag
dinsdag is volgt hieronder haar eerste blogbericht.

But first Shirley will answer some questions:
Maar eerst geeft Shirley antwoord op enkele vragen:

Name and other information about yourself:
My name is Shirley Ann Field.
I am married with two grown up children and have
a young Granddaughter who will soon be at the age
to join me for crafting sessions.
I live on the small but beautiful Island of Mersea in Essex UK.
Blog: My blog is www.cottonberrycreations.blogspot.com
What inspires you to create?
I was a florist for several years and most of my inspiration comes
from my love of flowers and colour coordination.
I love all things \cute and pretty and am an ardent Pinterest fan.
Describe your style:
I don't know if I have a definite style to my work but I can switch
quite easily from Cute and Girly to Shabby Chic/Vintage
depending on which papers and embellishments
I favour on the day I craft.
Favourite color: My favourite colour is Blue.
Favourite technique:
I don't have one favourite technique but
I find paper piercing very therapeutic.
Favourite way of colouring:
My favourite way of colouring has to be
water colouring but a time saver is using Promarkers.
What's your favourite Crealies product:
My favourite Crealies product has to be the flower dies.
They are so versatile and the flower combinations are endless.
Do you have a tip for creating with Crealies products:
My tip for creating with Crealies products is to think
outside the box. A die cut shape can be cut into different parts
and used to enhance your projects in different ways.

The lovely Annelies from CREALies has asked me to be
a guest designer on their blog for the month of May.
I will be posting not one but four projects
on the four Tuesdays of the month.
This step card and matching tag are the first of my projects.

The beautiful flowers, leaves, butterflies and step card dies
I used can be found in the CREALies shop.
I had fun die cutting and layering the lovely flowers and leaves
and it is surprising how many different flower combinations
can be made with the dies.

\The first flower die I bought impressed me so much.
It cut like a knife through butter and no bits were stuck
in de die due to it being backed with foam.
The dies are great value for money and some of
the flower dies have 5 nesting flowers on one die.
Pop over to the Facebook page for lots of
inspirational projects from the design team.

Here is a list of the Crealies items:

Shirley, many thanks for your contribution.....until next week.
