Door to Fairyland Tunnel Book with Crealies

Hi Crealies fans, have you seen the new release from Crealies?
The new dies are simply fabulous.
I love doors and windows and was thrilled to see Annelies had designed
gorgeous stitched arches in nesting dies!
I used the Crea-Nest-Lies XXL no. 78 set to make this special tunnel book
which expands and can actually fold flat too!

There are lots of fairies and cute bunnies in this tunnel book which was made using gorgeous double sided paper from Graphic 45.

There are 6 layers and each layer has an arch with the doorway narrowing as you go inwards! Amongst the fussy cut flowers are gorgeous leaves die cut using
Crealies Duo Dies no. 39.

All the way at the back 3 fairies are having a meeting!

Tunnel books are so time consuming to make if you are hand cutting but it was so easy to make the cascade of narrowing apertures using the Crea-Nest-Lies XXL die set.

The base was also made using the same arch die using several layers of foam.
Added several layers of grass on the front most layer and on the base.

The gorgeous butterfly and mushroom were cut using Crealies dies and Graphic 45 papers.

The butterfly above was cut using the Duo Dies no.44 and layered atop Set of 3 no.44
and cut from 3 pattern papers.

As a finishing touch is a cute bow made using the Duo Dies no. 41.

Here is a brief Tutorial on how you can make a Tunnel Book

Use the largest die to cut the main frames. Die cut 5-6 depending on how many layers you want your tunnel book to have. Cut apertures using the nesting dies.

To make your tunnel book sturdy use pattern paper+ card-stock on each layer. Add stickers, stamped or fussy cut images on your layers around the apertures so that they are visible when you add the upper layers.

Make 2 accordions by scoring and accordion folding 12 x 4.5 inch paper every 1/2 or 3/4 inches. If you are scoring every 3/4 inches and making a tunnel book with 6 layers you will need to add extra accordions from another strip of paper also.

Stick the accordion on the layer which will go at the very back. Leave one mountain fold and stick the next layer [as shown by the pink bone folder] onto the next mountain fold on the accordions on either side.
