Bread Board Mini Album Tutorial

Bread Board Mini Album
Hi crafters...I know I say it all the time with a new release  but aren't the new Crealies dies simply fabulous ....the  Crealies Cardzz dies are always my favourites as they are so huge and unique. The bread board/ chopping board die is a huge one and perfect not only to make cards but to make a mini book or album.

It would look good in your home with recipes, to do lists or menu plans inside.

I made one in a multipurpose theme with Crealies "Smile" on the cover.

I used foamiran flowers on the cover so that they won't crush when the book is laid open.
The Mini book/album is very simple to make using the Crealies dies. The bread board die set has an outer frame and an inner die to help you perfectly cut mats and even a shaker window.

You can use the versatile Crealies Only Inside No.104 or 103 die
to make any die cut shape into a mini book or album.

You can use metal rings or thread a ribbon through the holes
to quickly create a pretty mini book!

Each page in this mini book has acetate pockets to hold notes/recipes/ to do lists etc.
Here is how you can make acetate pockets:
Use the 2 nesting dies  to cut 2  frames from card stock.
Use the outer die to cut the acetate window.

Trim the acetate and the cardstock frames to the size you want. In this project I trimmed it to 3.5 inches. Sandwich the acetate in between the 2 cardstock frames.

Be very sparing with the glue and go slow to ensure you don't smear too much
and risk the glue smearing onto the acetate!

The 2nd layer of cardstock is to help achieve a nice adhesion of the acetate pocket
to your mini book/album.

Once you have made your acetate window...you can clean up
any glue smears on the acetate.

As a finishing touch glue on a piece of ribbon/ lace on the top of the pocket.

Stick on the acetate window to the inside of your mini book/album
again taking care not to use too much glue.

I kept the inside fairly simple using just Crealies butterflies and bows to decorate.

This particular mini has 5 pages. You can add more pages because the book is held together by  the ribbon through the holes and this can be easily removed to add more pages.

I hope you liked this project idea with the Bread Board dies.
