Home Decor Project with Crealies Flower Stamps and Dies

All members of the Crealies Design Team are very proud
and happy to announce that we have a new international
member in our team: Sonia from India.
She makes fabulous creations and below you can see
the first example of this.

Sonia, welcome to the team and we hope

you will have a great time here.

Hi Crealies fans.... Dr Sonia here with my first Design Team project for Crealies.
Here is a short introduction about myself...
I am an ENT Surgeon from India. I discovered paper-crafting a couple of years ago
and love how gratifying it is. I have been in love with Crealies designs for some time
and am so excited to be part of Annelies' International team.
I hope you will like the Crealies Projects I will be sharing with you.
And when you have time do drop by my blog  Cards Crafts and Kids Projects as I love interacting with crafters from all over the world and love to share tutorials too.

For my debut project I am sharing how to make a beautiful 3D home decor project
using the new Crealies Cardzz no. 06 Bag Card Dies and showcasing the newly
launched beautiful Crealies Mounted Rubber Flower Stampzz.

I love rubber stamps and was super impressed with the
lovely intricate designs on the Crealies flower stamps.

I stamped and heat embossed the flower stamps in such a way that I got a frame around
the flower images. To make the hanging hexagonal ornament you need 6 images
for 6 sides. I water-colored all stamped images with Zig Brush pens.

How to make the Hexagonal Ornament

The Crealies Cardzz no. 06 die is fantastic to make pockets for scrapbooks,
bag type cards, envelopes and because the diecut obtained using the main die
has pre-scored flaps on it, it is fantastic to make 3 D projects!

The 3D ornament in this post is made of 6 triangular units each of which
was made using  3 diecuts as shown above .

The saw edge border adds a charming effect to the project and you can optionally
score and fold the saw edge to add a decorative die-cut on it like I have done
in this project or you can omit this step for a quicker version.

Glue the flaps of the die-cuts as shown.

Glue 3 die-cuts to get a triangular unit.

To get a sturdy ornament glue 2 triangular units to each other on one side as shown below.

You can use masking tape and jumbo paperclips
to help hold your pieces while the liquid glue dries.

Make 3 such units as shown below

Glue the pieces  to form the hexagon.

Line the outer sides with pattern paper.
I used gorgeous papers from Graphic 45 to match the beautiful stamps from Crealies.

To give a rich Victorian look to the ornament you can use air drying clay and silicon molds
to create accents and frames for the elegant floral images.

Add pearls and decorative diecuts to accent the look of your project.
I used Decorette XL no. 02, die to make the lovely lacy diecuts on
the lower part of  the ornament.

You can use your favorite Crealies flower dies to help stick on a pearl string or ribbon
to hang your ornament. I used foam die cuts and hot glue to help get a good adhesion.

You can also use the same idea to form other shaped decoration items as shown below.

Here is a half star made using the same shapes...
it would looks cool as a Christmas Decoration wouldn't it!

I hope you liked this project idea with the new Crealies dies and Flower stamps.
